Am I 21...or 97?!?

I have always been a night owl.  Growing up I H-A-T-E-D waking up early to go to school (it is my luck that my mom would be a teacher and have to arrive early every day).  I remember back in middle & high school when I would wake up, groggily, to an alarm.  Go to the bathroom, start the shower and then lay on the floor for, oh...about 10 minutes until I had a little cat nap.  Now laying on the floor might not be the most hygienic place to nap but I was desperate to get a couple more minutes of sleep.

Finally, college came and guess what time my classes usually start.  Yes, you got it 10 a.m. or later!! I took one class Freshmen year at 8 a.m. and promised myself I would never do that again.  All throughout college I've rarely gone to bed before 12 a.m.  I can't help it, it's how my body is programmed!

Well now that summer school is here and I'm taking 3 classes (plus about 5 hours of homework to go with those classes) I rarely even STAY UP till 12 a.m.!  I mean, yesterday was the first time I stayed up till 1 a.m. only because I had 2 quizzes I had to study for.  Talk about LAME...it's 10:30 p.m. now and I feel sleepy.  WHO AM I?!?!?!?  I have gotten really lame, really REALLY fast.  How did this happen?  How did I let my life get to this?  WHY DO I HAVE THE NIGHT TIME TOLERANCE OF A 97 YEAR OLD?!?!?!?

I don't know what's made me become so, ew, responsible.  I guess I need to get sleep so I can retain all the knowledge I am learning in class, or I'm being healthy, or I'm just bored so I might as well sleep because I don't want to study anymore!  Who knows?  Although the plus side of sleeping for at least 8 hours a night is that 1. I'm not as groggy in the morning 2. I don't have baggies under my eyes 3. I feel better 4. I think clearer 5. I pay attention in class better (although that might be over rated)....

Okay, okay so I guess going to bed early and getting sleep DOES have it's benefits BUT no matter what any of you may think, say or comment...I still feel lame!  So if you'll excuse me now, I have some warm milk to drink before I get to bed!

Good night!
